“If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.” 1 Peter 4:14
Father, here I am reading this verse as Easter approaches, and I cannot help but think of all that Jesus endured as he journeyed to the cross. The insults, the injuries, and the humiliation- yet he never faltered in being obedient to You. He never stopped his sacrifice so that we may live eternally with You.
Father, if Jesus can do all these things, surely, we can endure an insult in his name. Any humiliation or injury pales in comparison to all Jesus endured for me.
Lord, praise You God in those moments that I face adversity for You do not leave me. You use those times to bring You honor and glory. May I always be a vessel for Your good.

Today I will meditate on all that Jesus endured on this way to the cross and while on the cross. In humility, I realize if he can do that for me, then I can bear whatever today may bring.
