January 5th 2026

“We wait in hope for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name. May Your unfailing love be with us, LORD, even as we put our hope in You.” Psalm 33:20-22

Hope.

Father, thank You for all of who You are. A good good Father in whom we can rest in hope.

Father, thank You for giving us hope. A living hope in Jesus. The one who came to live among us, to die for our sins, and who rose again so we may have reconciliation with You our Father and creator. To know one day, I will stand and kneel in Your presence is all I need in times of waiting: in times of heartache.

Lord, Your unfailing love is more precious to me than anything this world could ever offer. Let me cling to it. May I hold it tight even if only by its hem.

In Jesus Name

Today I will rejoice in the living hope found only in Jesus. Even if there is a “wait” or a “heartache” I have hope. I need only look at the empty tomb. He is not there. He has risen. Praise God!
