“…All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, God opposes the proud, but shows favor to humble. Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:5-7
Father, how often do we look at that verse “cast your anxiety on Him” and forget what comes before it. The humbleness. The humility. It is with humility that we must come to You. Our pride makes it so that we try to face everything alone which often leads to our anxiety. On the hand, our humble submission, and our obedience to You, can mold us and grow us into who You meant for us to be; joy filled and anxiety free.
Lord, thank You that I can come before You in humility and submission. That when I do so, You hear me and care for me.
Lord, may I remember that I never have to go through anything alone for You will be with me. I need not be anxious.

Today, with full humility, I declare that I need You, God, for everything. I will come to You Lord and cast my cares upon You letting You lead my way.
