“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7
The Spirit of the Lord gives us power.
Father, how often do we forget how Your Spirit dwells in us? We say it does, yet we function as if it does not or that it has no power. We act small and do not call upon Your Spirit or let it have its way.
Lord, I thank You that Your Spirit dwells in me. May I stop quenching it down. Instead, may I let it rise to fill all of me. Let me not be afraid to release the power and authority given to me by You through Your Spirit. Let me remember it is all for Your glory Lord.

Today I will recall the verses in which Jesus gave the disciples authority (Luke 10:19, Mark 16:17-18, John 14:12; Luke 9;1). I will let go of any timidity knowing that it is the Spirit of the living God dwelling within me that works through me. I need not be “small” or shy away from the power living within.
