“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests, but each of you to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3-4
Father, as I come to this day and these verses, I realize it has been heavy on my heart recently. Thank You Father for reminding me of humility. How easy it can be to fall into the “look at me” over “look at him.” Jesus came to serve rather than to be served. Even as we seek to do “good,” we can forget that it is for Your glory and not our own.
Lord, help me to value others over myself and to look for the greater good-the good that leads to You. May my motives not be selfish but aligned with You and Your word.
In Jesus Name
Today I will stop and check my motives. I will seek Your face, God, first so that I am in line with You. My service will be to bring You glory above all.
