“Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from Him. Truly He is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken.”Psalm 62:1-2
My soul finds rest in God.
Father, I was reading about rest in You earlier. True rest not a “nap,” but a calmness that is only found in You. This world is so busy and distracting. It can pull us in 100,000 different directions. When the only direction we need to go is toward You.
Father, what a blessing it is to be able to come to You and lay it all down. The noise, The distraction. The heartache of this world.
Lord, I sit here writing and look up envisioning laying my head on the chest of Jesus. My anxiety falls away as our breath becomes one, inhaling and exhaling together. Thank You for this rest if even for this moment.
Lord, thank You for being my rock, my salvation, and my rest. I love You Lord.

Today I will rest in my Lord and savior Jesus Christ. I will place myself in his loving arms knowing that true rest comes only from Him.
