“Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them.”Jonah 2:8
Idols.
Father, oh, the joy and freedom there is when we lay down our idols and surrender to You. You replace those idols with Your love, You give us a peace that no idol can give.
Father, we simply cannot love You and give You all of who we are if we are still clinging to the worthless idols of this world. All these “things” fade way and do not fill the spaces in our lives and hearts. The empty spaces in our lives and hearts can only be filled by You.
Lord, may I release- letting fully go- any idol that may be taking space in my heart. May I allow Your love to fill that space. May I let your peace grant me rest. For You alone are worthy. Praise You!

Today I lay down my idols, whatever they may be, at the foot of the cross, I surrender every part of me to You, God. I let Your Spirit fill me.
