“Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the fear of the LORD all the day.” Proverbs 23:17 ESV
Let not your heart envy sinners…
Father, Praise You that all I truly need is found in You.
Father, how often do we look around us and want what someone else has? Or think we want it or need it? The material objects. The money. The fun. Yet, in time all these things go away. Only You and Your Word last forever. Nothing in this world can fill every part of our soul the way that You can (and You do).
Lord, let my heart rejoice for others and their lives. Let me never envy what they have; remembering You and You alone fill me. Praise You Father!

Today I will not envy the lives of those around me- whether they are “sinners” or Christ followers. We are all sinners and fall short of Your glory. Envy is sin and sin does not bring me closer to You. Being closer to You is all my heart desires.
