“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the heart.” Proverbs 21:2 ESV
The Lord weighs the heart.
Father, how often do we rest in our “need” to be right? How often do we think we know it all and that our way is best? You, and You alone, are right and just. You know our hearts no matter how much we may try to conceal them from You. Our righteousness is found only in Jesus.
Lord, may I lay down my human desire to be right and instead be led by You, When I am overcome by my need to be right, let Your Word fill me so what I do and what I say is right according to Your word. Let my heart be filled with Yours. Let my mind be led by Your Word. May Your Spirit lead my way.
In Jesus Name
Today I will put aside my need to be “right” knowing that only God and His Word are right. I will live this day, and every day, seeking to have my heart in alignment with His Word.
