“The fear of the LORD leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm.” Proverbs 19:23 ESV
Father, the fear I have for You is unlike fearing man. It is a reverential fear filled with awe and wonder. One that knows that You, and You alone, are worthy to be both praised and worshipped. In You I have life; a life beyond this world and beyond what any man could ever do to me. You are eternal and in You there is eternal life. Our time here on earth is only but a speck of eternity.
Lord, may I remember that You created all and You can destroy all. Yet, you love me and want me to be reconciled to You. Your heart is not to destroy us, but to have us find our rest in You. Praise You Father!

Today I will live in fear of the Lord for He is my creator and worthy of all praise and glory. I will rest in knowing that this fear is out of love and not like the intimidation of man.
