“Whoever oppresses a poor man insults his Maker, but he who is generous to the needy honors Him.” Proverbs 14:31 ESV
Father, You have made us, Your creation, in Your image. Let us never forget that as we look at the people around us. Let us see Jesus in them. Let us see You in them. May we see with Your eyes and feel with Your heart so that we treat all people with Your love.
Praise You Father that You do not see us, Your creation, as “classes” or “levels” or “groups.” You see us as Your image bearers. Though we faulter at times and live in a sin-filled world, in Jesus we are made new and can be reconciled to You. What a blessing!
Lord, may I hold fast to this truth and treat others as You would treat them.
In Jesus Name
Today I will cast aside the lens I look at the world with and choose to see people through Your eyes. They are just as broken and sinful as I am, yet You love them all the same. You do not cast them away so nor will I.
