“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters.” Psalm 18:16 (See also Isaiah 43)
Father, there has never been a moment that You have not stretched Your hand out to help me up. However, there have been moments where I resisted taking it. Praise You, Lord, for not giving up on my stubborn self. Praise You for Your patience and Your grace.
Father, thank You for pulling me from the deep and setting me on the shore. I think of Peter walking on the water with Jesus only to start to sink when he took his eyes from Jesus.
Lord, may I always keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. May I never forget the times You lifted me up. When troubles of this world arise as they do, may I stand firm in Your faithfulness to be by my side and see me through.
In Jesus Name
Today I will keep my eyes fixed on Jesus. I need not sink into deep waters, yet if I do, I will hold fast to the hand that will reach down and pull me out.
