Pride….
Father, we use this word, “pride,” to describe so much. We are proud of our children or of other people’s accomplishment. We take pride in our jobs, our homes, our this, or our that.
Father, when does pride cross a line or become destructive? When it takes away from God and becomes about us. When it is all “look at me” instead of “look at Him.”
Lord, I know that I cannot do anything without You. All that I do, all that I accomplish, and all that I have is from You and for You. May I never point to myself with arrogant pride, but rather point to You and Your glory.

Today I seek to walk in humility knowing that it is only through You that I am who I am.
