“Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.”
2 Corinthians 7:10
Father, it can be so challenging to read and hear these verses that correct us; that discipline us. So often we would rather hear only the light-hearted, love-filled lines of scripture. Yet, discipline, when done for purpose and out of love, is also needed lest we travel further down a path away from You.
Thank you, Father, that we can be truly repentant to You. When we are repentant, You forgive us and wrap us in Your love. Our repentance allows You the opportunity to mold us, to shape us, and cut away anything that is keeping us from being close to You.
Lord, may I grow in my ability and willingness to repent so that I may glorify You in all that I do.

Today I bring my repentant heart before You, God. I seek Your love and forgiveness.
